Federal Direct Loan: 2023-2024 academic year

If you did not borrow the annual federal loan limit for your grade level in 2023-2024, you may have Federal Direct Loan eligibility available to be used for summer. A Financial Aid Representative is available to assist you in determining your loan eligibility.

In some cases, we may recommend you apply for additional fall 2023-spring 2024 loan instead of a summer loan, if you have remaining academic year loan eligibility. Please note: the deadline for applying for an academic year loan is April 26, 2024. This will occur if you have unmet need for fall 2023-spring 2024.

The advantages to taking additional academic year loan versus a summer loan are:

This would increase the likelihood of you being able to register for the summer classes you need.

Therefore, the 6 unit enrollment requirement for summer will not apply,

If you do not qualify for additional academic year loan, you may qualify for a summer loan. 付款将在我们将您的贷款请求转发给教育部后大约10个工作日发生, but not earlier than the first day of your first summer class.
